The authors are not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts, because the withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscripts, and works invested by the publisher.

If the author still requests withdrawal of his/her manuscript when the manuscript is still in the peer-reviewing process, the author will be punished with the following points:

  1. The author will be fined specifically for the withdrawal process (amount determined by the editorial board) to cover the operational costs incurred during the review.

  2. The manuscript will be rejected immediately and cannot be resubmitted to the Journal of Sport Coaching Science and Practice (JSCSP).

  3. The author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal for a period of 2 (two) years.

However, if the author insists on withdrawing the manuscript after it has been accepted for publication, the penalty will be more severe as it involves ethical misconduct regarding the agreement to publish.

Authors must respect the editorial process and the time invested by reviewers. Withdrawal requests must be sent officially via email to the Editor in Chief with a clear and valid reason.
